Each year I make a limited quantities of hand knitted hats with the yarn I spun. This particular style has been requested over the years because of the double brim hiding the ears and forehead properly, which is a necessity here in Quebec with our cold and windy winters. They requires between 1 and 2 skeins of art yarns knitted with needles size 9-10mm, and about a half skein of alpaca in bulky weight. All those hats have a double brim of 100% alpaca, hand spun, hand dyed and comes from a local farm. They are one size, no custom.

Every single item I create is made with the yarn I spun. To make yarn, I use wool or alpaca fleece. I clean the fibre, wash, card, dye, and finally spin it, wrap the skein, wash again, hang to dry, wrap it in a ball of yarn then its ready to be knit, crocheted, weaved or felt. Then I wash the garment again, and let it dry with lavender. All made here in Quebec. Thank you for supporting the traditions of textiles arts.Joyce
